Welcome to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church!

​We are a long-established congregation set in a small farm community in Northwest Kansas.  The current congregation is made up of multiple generations of Swedish and German Lutheran families that first settled in the area and those who have moved here recently to make this their home.

    

First established as a Swedish Lutheran country church in 1873, members of Bethel Lutheran Church merged with Faith Lutheran Church in Oberlin in 1961.  Faith had been established only four years before from a group of German Lutherans and their friends in and around Oberlin. 

    

Today, the congregation gathers faithfully to worship and serve in the community and world all throughout the week.  Worship is not only offered on site, but also online so that folks may worship with us wherever they are and whoever they might be.  Sunday school is offered for our youngest children during part of our worship time during the school year.  Education for older children, youth and adults is offered throughout the week.

    

This congregation has a strong mission presence in the community offering support to our schools, tending to those in need of assistance, and outreach with Christian education.  We also support global mission outreach through financial support and hands-on work.

    

All members of the congregation are recognized as disciples called into unique ministries which keeps our congregation active and productive in Christ’s kin-dom work.  The membership elects from its membership those who make up the governing council to oversee the church’s work together.
